MODEL HISTORY

The Story of the Vision Eight Ball

This was Victory’s blacked-out, stripped-back touring variant built from the Vision platform and aimed at riders who liked the futuristic fairing and hard-bagged long-distance layout of the original machine but wanted a simpler, darker custom look. It first appeared for the 2010 model year, where it was identified alongside the standard Vision in the factory owner’s literature, and it continued into 2011 in the manufacturer’s riding manual and parts catalog fitment listings. The model’s place in the range was relatively short-lived: it represented a more minimalist take on Victory’s flagship touring design rather than a separate all-new platform, and it was aimed at buyers who wanted the Vision’s integrated touring bodywork without the chrome-heavy finish of the mainstream versions. By the 2012 model year, it no longer appeared in Victory’s lineup, and later official parts listings stop at 2011, indicating a single continuous production run that ended after that year. Enthusiasts tend to remember it as one of the rarer Vision derivatives, combining the model’s unconventional silhouette with the understated, dark styling that characterized the brand’s 8-Ball approach.
