This blacked-out cruiser was introduced for the 2006 model year as a stripped-down, darker-edged variation of the standard Vegas line. It kept the same basic big-bore Victory cruiser formula and was aimed at riders who wanted the Vegas shape and stance without a lot of brightwork or chrome. From the start, it was positioned as one of the brand’s more minimalist factory custom-style motorcycles, giving the Vegas family a tougher, more understated look that fit the custom-cruiser trend of the mid-2000s.
For its first years, the model appeared in the Victory lineup as the Vegas 8-Ball, with parts and service documentation confirming 2006 as the earliest model year. Over time it remained part of Victory’s 8-Ball cruiser group and continued to evolve alongside the broader Vegas family as the company updated transmissions and related hardware across the range. The nameplate stayed in production until Victory’s parent company announced in January 2017 that it would wind down the Victory brand. That decision brought the model’s run to an end after the 2017 model year.
The Vegas 8-Ball is remembered as one of Victory’s clearest expressions of the brand’s dark custom aesthetic: simple, low-gloss, and intentionally less ornate than the standard Vegas.
