MODEL HISTORY

The Story of the Kingpin

This cruiser was introduced for the 2004 model year as a new addition to Victory’s lineup, replacing the earlier Classic Cruiser. It was developed from the same basic chassis and drivetrain family as the Vegas, but was styled to look more substantial and road-focused, with more fully covered fenders, a lower and broader stance, and a comfort-oriented touring emphasis. Victory positioned it as a custom-styled cruiser that combined mainstream factory reliability with the look and feel many riders typically sought through aftermarket modification. Over time, the nameplate expanded into several related variants, including touring and stripped-down editions, reflecting Victory’s habit of using the Kingpin as a flexible platform within its cruiser range. The model remained in the catalog through the 2012 model year, after which it disappeared from Victory’s production lineup.
