MODEL HISTORY

The Story of the TRX680 (Rincon)

Introduced for the 2006 model year, this large-displacement utility ATV became the flagship of Honda’s four-wheel off-road lineup in North America. It arrived as a premium, comfort-focused machine aimed at riders who wanted an automatic, work-capable ATV with more refinement and road-holding composure than the typical farm or trail utility model. From the beginning, it was positioned above the smaller utility offerings and was known for its long-wheelbase stability, independent suspension, and laid-back touring-friendly character.

Over time, the model evolved through a steady series of updates rather than a full reinvention, with refinements to styling, equipment, and mechanical detail as emissions and durability requirements changed. It remained the brand’s largest-displacement ATV for many years and developed a reputation among enthusiasts as a smooth, capable, top-tier utility machine with enough comfort for long trail rides and enough size for demanding general-purpose use.

By the 2024 model year, the nameplate was retired and the machine was renamed as part of a lineup refresh, marking the end of this long-running badge after an 18-model-year run.
