The Story of the CRF110F

Honda introduced this small-displacement off-road play bike for the 2013 model year as the replacement for the CRF70F, positioning it as a beginner-friendly step in the company’s trail-bike family. The new nameplate carried Honda’s CRF motocross-inspired styling onto an entry-level machine designed for young and new riders, with an easy-to-manage power delivery, electric starting, and an automatic clutch to reduce the learning curve. Honda also highlighted an adjustable throttle limiter, emphasizing its role as a confidence-building first dirt bike for families.

The model has remained part of Honda’s off-road youth lineup and continues to be offered in the market today, making it a long-running modern Honda beginner bike rather than a discontinued nameplate. Its significance comes less from performance credentials and more from how it bridges the gap between the smallest kids’ bikes and larger trail models. In Honda’s CRF-F family, it serves as the middle step above the tiniest play bikes and below larger manual-clutch trail machines, which has helped make it a popular choice for riders moving up from a first minibike.

Over time, Honda has kept the CRF110F aligned with the brand’s broader CRF off-road identity, giving it the look and feel of the company’s race-bred dirt bikes while preserving its approachable, family-oriented mission. The result is one of Honda’s most recognizable youth trail motorcycles: simple, durable, easy to ride, and intended to help new riders build skill and confidence off-road.
