Harley-Davidson began using the 103-cubic-inch Touring powertrain with the Street Glide line in the 2011 model year, when the FLHX103 Power Pak combined the larger Twin Cam 103 engine with security and ABS as a factory package. For 2012, the Street Glide moved to the Twin Cam 103 as part of its standard touring equipment, replacing the earlier 96-cubic-inch setup in the model’s public-facing specifications. In 2014, the bike received a major Project RUSHMORE update, including the High Output Twin Cam 103 and a broader refresh to the fairing, touring ergonomics, and infotainment. The result was a long-haul bagger that kept the model’s signature batwing fairing and urban-custom look while steadily evolving toward more highway comfort and factory integration. Because the 103 designation was used as a shorthand for these engine-equipped versions rather than as a clearly separate standalone nameplate, the model is treated here as an ongoing Street Glide variant rather than a discontinued line.
