This ABS-equipped member of the VRSC performance-cruiser family appeared for the 2008 model year as the anti-lock-brake version of the blacked-out, drag-strip-inspired street bike introduced in the mid-2000s. It carried forward the same overall power-cruiser formula that had made the broader VRSC line stand out: liquid-cooled V-twin performance, a long-and-low stance, and styling that pushed the platform toward a more aggressive, custom look. The ABS variant was offered alongside the non-ABS version rather than as a separate redesign, and it was identified in factory documentation as a distinct model code for that single model year. Harley-Davidson’s own 2009 VRSC model listings no longer include this ABS-equipped Night Rod entry, which supports 2008 as both the first and final model year for this specific nameplate.
