DB11

The DB11 is Aston Martin’s grand touring model that debuted in 2016 as the first new core car of the company’s Second Century Plan. It marked a major step forward for the DB bloodline, introducing a lighter and more rigid bonded-aluminium structure and a new design language that carried the classic Aston Martin grille, long bonnet and fastback proportions into a more modern era. The nameplate launched as a coupe and was later joined by the DB11 Volante, giving the range both closed-roof and open-top grand touring identities. Aston Martin expanded the lineup in 2017 with a twin-turbo V8 version, broadening the car’s appeal, and later introduced the AMR as the performance flagship after the V12 variant. The DB11 was positioned as a luxurious, long-distance sports GT rather than an all-out supercar, and it became an important bridge between the older DB9-era cars and the next generation of Aston Martin grand tourers. Production of the DB11 nameplate ended after the 2023 model year, when the DB12 arrived as its successor.
