MODEL HISTORY

The Story of the Magnum

This bagger was introduced for the 2015 model year as a factory-custom cruiser built on the brand’s larger bagger platform. It arrived as part of a push to give the lineup a more aggressive, street-oriented look, with a stretched profile, a large front wheel, hard saddlebags, and a distinctive slammed stance that set it apart from the more traditional touring machines in the range. The concept emphasized style and presence first, while still keeping the long-distance touring hardware that riders expected from the platform underneath.

For 2015, the model was launched alongside a higher-output X-1 version that leaned even further into the audio and custom-culture angle, helping establish the nameplate as the most fashion-forward member of the bagger family. In 2016 and 2017, it remained in the lineup with color and equipment updates rather than a full redesign, while the wider brand continued to evolve its cruiser and touring offerings.

Production ended when the manufacturer announced it would wind down its motorcycle operations in 2017. As a result, the nameplate’s run was comparatively short, but it became one of the brand’s best-known late-era models and a clear example of the company’s attempt to blend American V-twin touring with custom-bagger styling.
