V-Strom 800DE

This adventure-oriented model was introduced by Suzuki as part of its all-new 800-class lineup revealed at EICMA in November 2022, with sales beginning in 2023. It marked a fresh chapter for the V-Strom family rather than a simple update to an earlier middleweight, bringing a new platform and a more off-road-focused character to the range. Suzuki positioned it as the gravel-capable member of the new 800 series, aimed at riders who wanted a practical long-distance machine with a stronger bias toward rougher roads and mixed-surface use. A few months later, Suzuki expanded the range with a related road-oriented sibling, but this model remained the adventure version with the more rugged brief. In Suzuki’s modern lineup, it sits between smaller-displacement V-Strom models and larger touring-adventure machines, and it quickly became significant as the brand’s return to a highly competitive middleweight adventure category.
