Bandit 650S

This middleweight Bandit nameplate was introduced for the 2005 model year as a new 650-class street bike aimed at riders who wanted an everyday all-rounder with a more substantial, sportier feel than a basic commuter. It arrived alongside the related half-faired version and quickly became part of Suzuki’s global standard-bike lineup, positioned between lightweight twins and larger inline-four Bandits. In 2007, the model received a significant update, including a new liquid-cooled, fuel-injected engine, marking a major technical shift from the earlier air/oil-cooled version. A later styling refresh followed for 2009, when Suzuki updated the bike’s appearance while keeping the same core middleweight formula. The machine was sold in several export markets and was known for blending practical road manners with approachable performance, making it one of Suzuki’s more versatile everyday motorcycles of the 2000s.
