MODEL HISTORY

The Story of the Temerario

Introduced at Monterey Car Week in August 2024 and positioned as a 2025-model-year car, this mid-engine super sports car marked the next step in Lamborghini’s move toward full hybridization. It was created as the successor to the Huracán and arrived as the brand’s second HPEV, pairing a new twin-turbo V8 with three electric motors and a packaging philosophy aimed at combining everyday usability with top-tier performance. Lamborghini presented it as a clean-sheet replacement rather than a mild update, with an all-new chassis architecture, revised proportions, and a focus on greater cabin roominess and better road manners alongside track capability. The result is a model that sits at the center of the company’s modern lineup: less extreme in concept than the flagship Revuelto, but more advanced and more electrified than the outgoing naturally aspirated V10 era. Its significance lies in being the first production super sports car from the Sant’Agata Bolognese maker to use a twin-turbo V8 paired with hybrid assistance, a major technical and historical shift for the nameplate. It also became the basis for later motorsport and special-series derivatives, underlining its role as the new cornerstone of the brand’s super sports car strategy.
