This single-cylinder naked motorcycle nameplate entered the market for the 2008 model year as a street-focused extension of the long-running Duke family. It carried forward the brand’s lightweight, minimalist, hooligan-oriented character, but with a more modern 690-class LC4 engine and road-biased ergonomics that helped define the big-bore single category. Early versions were offered in several market-specific colors and configurations, and the line evolved through the years with incremental chassis, styling, and equipment updates rather than a full reinvention. By the later years of its run, the model had become one of the best-known large-displacement single-cylinder street bikes of its era, and it remained in production through the 2019 model year before being replaced by newer middleweight naked models in the lineup.
