MODEL HISTORY

The Story of the ATC250

This 250cc three-wheeled sport ATV emerged at the start of the high-performance ATV boom and became one of the best-known machines of the era. It was positioned as the aggressive, competition-minded counterpart to smaller utility-oriented three-wheelers, with a layout and chassis tuned for experienced riders rather than casual trail use. Early examples established the formula as a lightweight, quick-revving off-road machine, and later updates brought more advanced suspension and cooling revisions as the design evolved through the mid-1980s.

The nameplate is closely associated with the peak years of the three-wheeler era, when manufacturers were rapidly refining performance and handling in response to growing enthusiast demand. That period also brought increasing scrutiny of three-wheel ATVs in general, and the category was ultimately phased out. This particular 250cc sport model ended with the broader withdrawal from three-wheeled ATV production, leaving it as one of the most recognizable and collectible performance ATCs of its time.
