This Harley-Davidson nameplate was introduced for the 2017 model year as a more aggressive, performance-oriented offshoot of the Street family. It shared the basic liquid-cooled Revolution X 750 architecture with the broader Street lineup, but it was positioned more as a compact urban roadster than a traditional entry-level cruiser. Harley-Davidson gave it a sharper chassis setup, taller suspension, more upright ergonomics, and a stronger visual link to streetfighter and hooligan-style customs, which helped it stand apart from the softer Street 500 and Street 750 models.
The model was marketed under the XG750A designation and appeared as an all-new addition when Harley-Davidson expanded the Street line beyond the original 500 and 750. Its styling emphasized a lean tail section, drag-style handlebar treatment, bar-end mirrors, and a more performance-focused stance. The taller suspension and revised riding position were central to its character, giving it more cornering clearance and a less relaxed posture than the standard Street 750. That made it especially notable among riders who wanted an accessible Harley-Davidson with a more aggressive urban personality.
The nameplate remained in production through the 2020 model year. Harley-Davidson’s 2021 lineup did not continue the Street Rod, and the Street family was pared back after 2020. As a result, this was a relatively short-lived model in Harley-Davidson history, but one that stood out for bringing a more sporting interpretation to the company’s lightweight middleweight platform.
