This limited factory-custom Softail was Harley-Davidson’s early Custom Vehicle Operation entry for the Deuce platform. It first appeared for the 2003 model year as the Screamin’ Eagle Deuce, then continued for 2004 under the CVO Deuce designation in Harley-Davidson’s model history. Built as a premium, low-volume take on the standard Deuce, it sat at the top of the Softail range and reflected the brand’s early strategy of using CVO models to deliver more exclusive finishes, upgraded components, and a stronger custom-shop look straight from the factory. The nameplate was short-lived and did not continue beyond the 2004 model year, making it one of the rarer early CVO Softail models and an important marker in the development of Harley-Davidson’s factory-custom program.
