BMW Motorrad’s 2017 product communication no longer included the K 1300 S, indicating that 2016 was the final model year for the nameplate in that market. Special editions such as the 30 Jahre K-Modelle version and the Motorsport edition helped keep the model visible among enthusiasts during its later years.
