The Story of the Tuono 457

The Aprilia Tuono 457 is a modern entry in Aprilia’s Tuono family, introduced as a new lightweight naked motorcycle for the 2025 model year. Aprilia announced preorders in early 2025 and positioned the Tuono 457 as a fresh, younger-focused interpretation of the Tuono idea: a compact roadster built for accessible everyday riding, agile handling, and an engaging sport-bike feel without the full fairing of the RS sibling.

Unlike older Tuono models, which grew out of larger-displacement sportbike platforms, the Tuono 457 was developed alongside Aprilia’s 457 platform and presented as its own distinct nameplate rather than a mere trim package. It carries forward the brand’s long-running Tuono identity — a line that has traditionally blended Aprilia’s racing-derived design language with upright street ergonomics — but in a smaller and more approachable format aimed at new and returning riders.

The model’s arrival marked Aprilia’s expansion of the Tuono badge into the middleweight entry segment, giving the brand a new naked-bike option below its larger Tuono V4 and Tuono 660 lines. Its significance is less about outright size and more about what it represents: a deliberate move to bring the Tuono character to a broader audience while keeping the styling, electronics, and enthusiast appeal associated with the name. As of now, the Tuono 457 remains in production, so there is no final model year to record.
