Pegaso 650

Aprilia introduced the Pegaso 650 in 1992 as one of the brand’s early large-displacement road-enduro motorcycles, aimed at riders who wanted a practical, street-friendly single with light adventure styling. It became an important model for Aprilia because it helped establish the company outside its core small-bike and racing image, and it quickly became one of the best-known machines in Aprilia’s history. The Pegaso line then evolved through several distinct eras rather than one uninterrupted run. Early versions carried the original Pegaso 650 identity through the 1990s, later continuing as the fuel-injected Pegaso 650 i.e. in the early 2000s. After a gap, Aprilia brought the name back again in the late 2000s with Pegaso 650 Trail and Pegaso 650 Factory variants, which still appeared in official Aprilia pricing literature for 2010 and 2011. Because the badge was discontinued and later revived, the Pegaso 650 should be treated as a nameplate with multiple production periods rather than a single continuous model run.
