MODEL HISTORY

The Story of the EX30 CC

The EX30 Cross Country is Volvo’s adventure-oriented version of the EX30, a small fully electric SUV that was unveiled in February 2025 and marketed as part of the 2026 model-year lineup. It extends Volvo’s long-running Cross Country concept, which the company says began with its first Cross Country model in 1997, but this specific nameplate is a much newer addition. Rather than being a separate vehicle line, it is a ruggedized derivative of the EX30 with a higher ride height, all-wheel drive, distinctive exterior cladding, skid-plate styling, and all-terrain-focused wheel and tire options.

Volvo positioned the EX30 Cross Country as a compact electric SUV for drivers who want city-friendly size with light off-road capability and a more outdoors-focused character. The model shares the EX30’s modern electric architecture and cabin packaging, but it is visually and mechanically tuned for rougher roads and winter conditions. Volvo introduced it as part of a broader push to broaden the EX30 family with a more capable variant aimed at buyers who value versatility and Scandinavian outdoor heritage.

As of now, the EX30 Cross Country is a current model, so there is no confirmed final model year to list.
