MODEL HISTORY

The Story of the V60CC

The V60 Cross Country is Volvo’s ruggedized version of the V60 estate, created as part of the brand’s long-running Cross Country line of raised wagons. Volvo revealed the model in late 2014 and introduced it as a 2015.5 model year vehicle, positioning it as a more adventurous alternative to the standard V60 with added ground clearance, protective styling and all-road capability. It carried forward the Scandinavian wagon formula that has long been central to Volvo’s identity, while aiming to broaden the appeal of the V60 family beyond traditional road use. The nameplate has remained a continuous part of the V60 range since its debut, and later model years continued the same Cross Country concept on the newer V60 generation. In Volvo’s lineup, it sits between the conventional estate and the brand’s SUV offerings, blending wagon practicality with a more outdoor-oriented character.
