Triumph introduced the model for the 2016 model year, building on the brand’s long scrambler lineage but positioning this version as an accessible, all-road modern classic rather than a hard-edged off-road machine. Over its life, the nameplate sat within Triumph’s Bonneville family and evolved in step with the broader modern-classics range. A significant update arrived for the 2021 model year, when Triumph refreshed the bike with Euro 5-era changes and premium detail revisions. After that, the Street Scrambler identity was phased out as Triumph repositioned the same concept under the Scrambler 900 name for the 2022 model year. In other words, the Street Scrambler did not return in a later separate run; it ended as that nameplate when the updated Scrambler 900 took over the role.
