Introduced for the 2022 model year, this model marked a more focused, premium-bodied interpretation of Triumph’s large-capacity Speed Triple line. It took the muscular triple-cylinder roadster formula associated with the Speed Triple name and reworked it into a semi-faired, sportier machine with a more committed riding position and a stronger visual link to classic sports motorcycles. Triumph positioned it as the highest-spec member of the family, aimed at riders who wanted the Speed Triple’s performance and character in a more exclusive, style-led package.
The nameplate arrived as a new branch of the modern Speed Triple range rather than a revival of an older RR model. It launched in early 2022 and has remained part of Triumph’s active lineup. In concept, it sits between an outright naked roadster and a fully enclosed superbike, combining the brand’s triple-engine heritage with sharper aerodynamics, premium suspension and high-end chassis components. That made it stand out from the more conventional RS version as the more road-and-track-focused, visually distinctive expression of the platform.
In later years Triumph continued to use the nameplate for special and limited editions, reinforcing its role as the halo version of the Speed Triple family. Enthusiast interest has centered on its blend of modern electronics, upscale equipment and distinctive café racer-inspired silhouette, which gave the long-running Speed Triple concept a new and more refined identity without abandoning its aggressive character.
