MODEL HISTORY

The Story of the Boulevard S50

Introduced for the 2005 model year, this middleweight cruiser was part of Suzuki’s Boulevard rebranding of its U.S.-market cruiser lineup. It carried forward the compact, low-slung character of Suzuki’s earlier 800-class cruiser while adopting the new Boulevard naming strategy and the style cues that defined the family. The nameplate was positioned as a straightforward, approachable V-twin cruiser with an emphasis on simplicity and ease of use rather than heavy touring equipment. It remained in the lineup through the 2009 model year, after which the nameplate was discontinued. Enthusiast interest has remained steady because it represents Suzuki’s transitional period from the older Intruder-era cruisers to the Boulevard era.
