The Story of the B-King

Suzuki’s B-King was the production realization of the radical naked-bike concept first shown in 2001. It reached the market as a 2008 model and was positioned as Suzuki’s flagship streetfighter, pairing the company’s big-bike performance image with a highly stylized, muscular design. The motorcycle was introduced as a deliberate departure from conventional sportbike bodywork, aimed at riders who wanted Hayabusa-derived performance in a more upright, aggressively styled package. Suzuki marketed it in several major export regions, and the nameplate remained in the lineup through the early 2010s before ending its run. The B-King is remembered as one of the most distinctive Japanese muscle bikes of its era and as an important halo model in Suzuki’s modern motorcycle history.
