Dawn

This modern Rolls-Royce open-top grand tourer revived a historic name associated with the marque’s postwar Silver Dawn, but it was developed as a distinctly contemporary super-luxury convertible for the Goodwood era. Introduced for the 2016 model year, it joined the brand’s modern lineup as a four-seat drophead with a strong emphasis on relaxed, social cruising rather than outright performance. Its design language was closely related to the contemporary two-door family, but the roofless body style gave it a softer, more glamorous character and made it one of the most distinctive cars in the lineup. A Black Badge derivative later added a darker, more overtly dynamic flavor for clients seeking a more assertive interpretation. Production came to an end in 2023, closing the run of the original modern open-top model and leaving it as one of the key halo cars of its era.
