V7 III

This third-generation V7 was introduced in 2017 to mark 50 years since the original V7 nameplate first appeared. It continued Moto Guzzi’s long-running middleweight roadster lineage with the brand’s familiar transverse V-twin layout, shaft drive, and classic Italian styling, while adding a more modern finish and a broader family of versions. The range included familiar interpretations such as Stone, Special, Racer, and Rough, each aimed at a slightly different kind of rider but all sharing the same core V7 identity. In Moto Guzzi’s own history, the V7 III was presented as the next major chapter in one of the company’s best-known and most enduring models. The nameplate’s first generation had been reborn earlier in the 2010s, and the V7 III became the updated mid-2010s-era expression before the line was replaced by the next V7 generation for the 2021 model year. Its run is generally associated with the 2017 through 2020 model years.
