Stelvio

Moto Guzzi introduced this nameplate in 2007 as a large adventure-touring motorcycle, adding it to a refreshed line of new models alongside the Griso 8V and Bellagio. The original run grew into the Stelvio 1200 and later Stelvio NTX variants, which helped establish it as the brand’s long-distance, all-road touring option. The name itself comes from the Stelvio Pass, the highest paved mountain pass in Italy, a fitting reference for a motorcycle intended for travel and mixed-terrain exploration. After the original model line faded from the range, Moto Guzzi revived the name in 2023 with an all-new generation presented as a modern adventure tourer. This new Stelvio is a clean-sheet reinterpretation rather than a continuation of the older bike, and it carries the nameplate into a different era of Moto Guzzi design and technology. Because the nameplate has appeared in separate production periods, the model history should be treated as a revival rather than one uninterrupted run.
