It was part of the brand’s small-block V-twin family and was conceived as an all-terrain machine rather than a pure road bike, giving Moto Guzzi a credible answer to the growing popularity of practical enduro-style motorcycles in the mid-1980s. The model was especially notable for bringing the transverse Guzzi twin, shaft drive, and the marque’s distinctive engineering character into a more adventure-oriented package.
