This luxury pickup was Lincoln’s answer to buyers who wanted the utility of a full-size truck with a more upscale presentation. It debuted for the 2006 model year as a successor to the short-lived Blackwood and was closely related to Ford’s F-150, but with Lincoln-specific exterior styling, a quieter cabin, and more premium trim. In the United States and Canada, the nameplate was sold only through the 2008 model year, while Lincoln Mexico continued to support and list the Mark LT through the 2015 model year. That longer Mexican run makes it one of the more unusual Lincoln nameplates of the 2000s and 2010s. The truck occupied a niche between mainstream pickup models and traditional luxury SUVs, giving the brand a distinctive but unconventional entry in the premium truck market. For enthusiasts, it stands out as Lincoln’s second and ultimately most successful attempt at a luxury pickup, and as a reminder of the period when the brand experimented beyond sedans and SUVs.
