Introduced for the 2015 model year, this motorcycle marked Kawasaki’s move to a lighter, more approachable middleweight cruiser with a strong emphasis on rider fit and everyday usability. It was launched as a modern addition to the long-running cruiser family, pairing a sporty chassis concept with relaxed styling and Kawasaki’s ERGO-FIT adjustability to suit a wide range of riders. From the start, the model was positioned as an accessible entry point into the brand’s cruiser lineup rather than a traditional heavyweight V-twin cruiser. Over time, it has remained in continuous production and has been updated through successive model years while keeping the same basic sport-cruiser identity. A café-style variant was later added in some markets, broadening the lineup without changing the core nameplate’s role as Kawasaki’s compact, rider-friendly cruiser.
