Kawasaki introduced this Prairie nameplate for the 2003 model year as a mid-size utility ATV positioned below the larger Prairie 400 and 650 family. The base Prairie 360 was sold alongside a 4x4 derivative, but the plain Prairie 360 designation itself appears in Kawasaki’s own parts and accessory listings through the 2009 model year, while later Kawasaki documentation continues only with the Prairie 360 4x4 nameplate. That makes the original Prairie 360 a relatively short-lived early-2000s utility model, part of Kawasaki’s push to offer approachable work-and-recreation ATVs in both two-wheel-drive and four-wheel-drive forms. Its run is remembered as part of the Prairie era that bridged Kawasaki’s earlier utility quads and the later Brute Force lineup, with the 360 badge serving as the entry point to the family before the 4x4 version carried the nameplate forward.
