MODEL HISTORY

The Story of the TRX350TE

This model was introduced for the 2000 model year as part of Honda’s new FourTrax Rancher family, which marked Honda’s move to a more modern utility ATV platform for work and everyday trail use. The TE variant represented the electric-shift version of the Rancher lineup, pairing Honda’s rugged mid-size utility chassis with push-button shifting aimed at riders who wanted convenience without giving up the durability and straightforward character Honda ATVs were known for. In Honda’s own owner’s manuals, the TRX350TE appears as a 2006 model, confirming that the nameplate remained in production through that year. The Rancher 350 line then gave way to the next-generation Rancher family built around the TRX420 for 2007, making this a single, continuous production run that ended after the 2006 model year. Enthusiasts and owners often remember it as one of the defining Honda utility ATVs of the early 2000s: simple, dependable, and well suited to chores, property use, hunting, and general off-road recreation.
