MODEL HISTORY

The Story of the VT750 (Shadow Aero 750)

Honda introduced this 750cc cruiser for the 2004 model year as part of its Shadow family, using the VT750C designation and the Shadow Aero nameplate. It arrived as a more traditional, classic-looking middleweight cruiser, with long-and-low proportions, deep fenders, a teardrop fuel tank, and shaft final drive to match the relaxed, low-maintenance character buyers expected from the Aero badge. The model’s 745cc liquid-cooled V-twin became the basis of the nameplate’s identity, and Honda positioned it as a refined, approachable cruiser rather than a stripped-down custom.

The Shadow Aero received regular updates over time, but it remained recognizably the same concept: a Honda cruiser built around timeless styling, everyday usability, and smooth V-twin manners. Honda’s own current model pages continue to list the Shadow Aero, including ABS-equipped versions, which shows that the nameplate is still active rather than a discontinued one revived later. Because it is still in production, there is no final model year to assign.

Within Honda’s cruiser lineup, the Shadow Aero has been the more classic and fully dressed counterpart to the sportier or more minimalist Shadow variants. Its longevity reflects its appeal as an easygoing, heritage-styled machine that kept the Shadow formula in Honda’s lineup through changing cruiser trends.
