Honda’s fashion-oriented step-through scooter nameplate first appeared in Japan in 1992 as a stylish met-in model aimed at riders who wanted a compact, elegant city scooter. Honda’s official product archive shows the original run continuing through the 1990s, with the line receiving updates and special editions before the original version was superseded by the Giorno Crea era at the end of the decade. The nameplate returned in 2011 as a revived 50 cc scooter with a more upscale, modern presentation, and Honda later refreshed it again in 2015 with a full styling update and eSP powertrain. The revived Giorno family remained in Honda’s Japanese lineup into the 2020s, with Honda indicating that the 2022-era Giorno models were scheduled to end production in October 2025.
