The FXDLI was Harley-Davidson’s fuel-injected Dyna Low Rider variant, part of the Dyna family that expanded the brand’s classic big-twin cruiser lineup with the Dyna chassis. Harley-Davidson’s own history notes that the Low Rider joined the Dyna range in 1993, but the FXDLI designation itself belongs to the later electronic fuel-injection era, appearing in the mid-2000s model lineup. In factory documentation, the FXDLI is shown as a distinct Dyna Low Rider model code for the 2004 model year, and Harley-Davidson service materials continue to reference it through the 2006 model year. For 2007, the Low Rider name continued under the non-I code FXDL, marking the end of the FXDLI designation. Enthusiasts generally recognize the FXDLI as the injected, late-Dyna expression of the Low Rider formula: low-slung stance, stripped-down styling, and everyday cruiser character with a more modern powertrain package.
