The nameplate’s history begins with the concept phase, when Genesis used the GV60 Magma Concept to preview its performance ambitions. The road car followed as Genesis’ first high-performance production model, with market rollout beginning in Korea and expansion to Europe and North America announced for 2026.
Because this is a current production model rather than a discontinued nameplate, there is no final model year to record yet. The GV60 Magma is significant within Genesis history because it represents the brand’s first step into a dedicated performance sub-family, combining the GV60’s electric SUV format with the more aggressive Magma identity and positioning.
