Genesis introduced its flagship full-size luxury sedan in late 2015, with the G90 name used for export markets and the same car sold in Korea as EQ900. The model arrived as the brand’s top-luxury sedan, positioned above the rest of the new Genesis range and aimed at established premium competitors. In its early years, the car emphasized a quiet, rear-seat-focused luxury mission, strong technology content, and a traditional sedan silhouette rather than a sporty fastback profile. For the 2019 model year, Genesis applied the G90 name in Korea as well, replacing EQ900 as part of the refreshed flagship’s rollout. The nameplate has remained the brand’s large sedan flagship and continues to represent Genesis at the top end of its lineup.
