The family expanded quickly. An open-top Spider arrived for 2000, bringing the same basic formula to a convertible body style and becoming an important part of the model’s identity. Ferrari also developed track-oriented and competition derivatives during the run, including Challenge and GT variants that broadened the nameplate’s presence in one-make racing and GT competition.
