P - Series

Chevrolet’s P-Series began in 1961 with the compact Step-Van 7, identified by the P10 chassis code, as Chevrolet expanded its forward-control commercial lineup. Over time the nameplate grew into a family of cab-forward trucks and vans that covered delivery, walk-in, and specialty commercial uses, with P20 and P30 variants appearing as heavier-duty versions. The line became especially familiar in bread-truck, utility-body, RV, and stripped-chassis applications, and Chevrolet literature and parts references show the P30 continuing through the 1990s. The Chevrolet-branded P-Series run ended with the 1999 model year, after which the nameplate was no longer carried forward as a Chevrolet model. Enthusiasts still recognize it as one of Chevrolet’s most distinctive commercial truck families, known for its forward-control layout and long service life in demanding vocational roles.
