Audi’s R8 was the brand’s first true super sports car and one of the most significant halo models in its modern history. The nameplate reached production after being previewed by the Le Mans quattro concept and was unveiled in 2006, with the first model year arriving in 2007. Built in Germany, the R8 helped move Audi from a maker known primarily for refined performance sedans and coupes into the mid-engine supercar conversation.
