FZR600

This 600cc supersport nameplate arrived as part of Yamaha’s late-1980s FZR family, bringing the brand’s Deltabox-era sportbike formula to the middleweight class. It was introduced for the 1989 model year and established itself as a sharply styled, fully faired inline-four aimed at riders who wanted a more focused street machine with clear racing influence. In Yamaha’s own historical material, the model is shown as the starting point for the later FZR600 line that evolved into the Genesis and FZR600R variants in subsequent years.
