MODEL HISTORY

The Story of the Magnum X-1

This nameplate was introduced for the 2015 model year as a factory-custom take on Victory’s big-wheel bagger formula. It built on the standard Magnum but pushed the concept further toward a show-bike personality, pairing bold paint and custom-style detailing with a far more elaborate audio setup and a stronger emphasis on visual impact. Polaris highlighted it as part of Victory’s 2015 product expansion, positioning it as a new bagger aimed at riders who wanted a louder, more individualized street presence without leaving the factory catalog.

For 2016, the model returned in a Stealth Edition form, which shifted the look away from the brighter first-year presentation and toward a darker, more monochrome treatment. That revision kept the basic idea intact while changing the character of the bike, showing that Victory saw the nameplate as an evolving special-edition expression rather than a one-off trim package.

The nameplate remained in Victory’s parts and fitment listings for the 2017 model year, making 2017 its final known model year before Polaris began winding down Victory operations in early 2017. Within Victory’s lineup, it occupied a niche between mainstream bagger and rolling custom: a limited, highly styled factory model meant to deliver a distinctive audio-and-style identity alongside the brand’s established touring hardware.
