It arrived with styling cues linked to the Speed Triple and with the character and handling balance of the Daytona 675, which helped it stand apart from more conventional inline-four competitors. The line quickly expanded. Triumph added a higher-spec R version in 2009, signaling that the platform could support both everyday road use and more focused performance setups.
