Suzuki introduced this middleweight naked streetfighter as an all-new model for the 2023 model year, unveiling it at EICMA in November 2022 and announcing global sales from March 2023. It was developed alongside the V-STROM 800DE as part of Suzuki’s new 776 cc parallel-twin platform, marking a fresh direction for the brand’s mid-size street lineup after the long-running GSX-S750 era. The model is positioned as a modern, rider-friendly standard with aggressive styling, compact proportions and a focus on everyday usability rather than outright supersport posture. Its nameplate has remained in continuous production since launch, and Suzuki continues to list later model-year updates, indicating the model is ongoing rather than discontinued. In Suzuki’s current lineup history, it stands out as one of the first major road-going applications of the company’s new 800-class twin architecture and as an important replacement for the older four-cylinder middleweight streetfighter concept.
