MODEL HISTORY

The Story of the Boulevard C90 B.O.S.S.

The B.O.S.S. edition of Suzuki’s large-displacement Boulevard cruiser was introduced for the 2014 model year as a darker, factory-custom take on the existing C90. B.O.S.S. stood for Blacked Out Special Suzuki, and the package gave the big V-twin cruiser a deliberately stealthy look with blacked-out wheels, forks, exhaust and related trim, while keeping the C90’s long-running comfort-oriented cruiser formula intact. It was positioned as the more aggressive, style-led version of Suzuki’s traditional big-bore Boulevard, aimed at riders who wanted classic cruiser proportions with a cleaner, more minimalist finish. The nameplate remained in Suzuki’s U.S. cruiser lineup through the 2019 model year, after which it disappeared from the range. Although the underlying C90 lineage traces back much earlier, the B.O.S.S. badge itself is tied to this late-2010s factory-blackout era rather than to the earlier standard C90 models.
