The model remained part of the lineup through 2022, when Polaris still listed GENERAL 4 1000 variants in its archived model pages and owner literature. It then dropped out of the lineup in 2023 and 2024 as Polaris shifted toward the GENERAL XP 4 naming structure for four-seat models. For 2025, Polaris brought the GENERAL 4 1000 name back with the GENERAL 4 1000 Sport, restoring the four-passenger GENERAL designation as an entry-level option in the broader GENERAL family.
