Fusion

This snowmobile nameplate was introduced for the 2005 model year as a new performance-oriented Polaris sled built around the IQ-era Fusion chassis concept. It marked Polaris’ move toward a more centralized rider position and a modernized chassis layout, aimed at blending trail comfort with sharper handling and stronger performance. Early production included the flagship 900 version, while the lineup quickly broadened for 2006 with additional engine choices and related variants, including the 600 and 700 Fusion models. Factory parts listings and accessory fitment records place the nameplate in the 2005-2006 model-year window, and Polaris recall notices from the period also reference both 2005 and 2006 Fusion snowmobiles. The Fusion was part of Polaris’ mid-2000s push to refresh its performance snowmobile offerings, and it is generally remembered as a short-lived but important transitional model before the brand’s later IQ-based performance lineup took over more fully. The nameplate did not return after 2006, so it is treated as a single continuous production run.
