Breva 1200

This nameplate appeared as Moto Guzzi’s larger-capacity evolution of the Breva roadster family, moving the line into the 1200 cc class and giving the model a more substantial, big-block character than the earlier Breva variants. It arrived for the 2007 model year and was positioned as a practical, upright Italian naked with the brand’s familiar transverse V-twin layout and shaft-drive touring-roadster appeal. In Moto Guzzi’s own range history, the Breva 1200 sits within the mid-to-late-2000s expansion of the company’s modern lineup, alongside the 1200 Sport and Norge 1200, when Mandello was broadening its offerings across naked, touring, and sport-touring segments. The model remained on sale through the end of the decade and into the early 2010s, including ABS-equipped versions, before being phased out as Moto Guzzi’s lineup moved toward newer generations and the Breva name gradually gave way to other families. Enthusiast interest has remained steady because it represents one of the more usable, full-size Breva-era machines: straightforward, characterful, and closely tied to Moto Guzzi’s revival period of the 2000s.
