MODEL HISTORY

The Story of the Ridge

Kawasaki introduced this nameplate for the 2024 model year as an all-new premium side-by-side aimed at buyers who wanted a more refined work-and-recreation UTV. The launch marked a significant step for Kawasaki’s off-road lineup, pairing a full-cab design with a comfort-focused chassis, automotive-style fit and finish, and the brand’s first off-road four-cylinder engine in this class. The original launch came alongside the related Ridge XR family, with the standard Ridge positioned as the more utility-oriented of the two.

From the outset, the model was built around enclosed-cab comfort and year-round usability rather than stripped-down sport styling. Kawasaki emphasized features such as roof and doors, selectable drive modes, and a cargo bed suited to work duties, while still giving the machine enough off-road capability to appeal to recreational users. For 2025 and later model years, Kawasaki continued the nameplate with updated trim combinations and refinements, indicating that it remains an active part of the company’s side-by-side lineup.
